Seeking Expressions of Interest for the position/s of JASAL General Editor

JASAL, the Journal of the Association for the Study of Australian Literature (ASAL), currently seeks expressions of interest for the role/s of General Editor.  JASAL is a key element of ASAL’s stated mission to serve and promote Australian Literary Studies, and the JASAL General Editor position constitutes a significant leadership role and an exciting opportunity to advance new directions in the field. 

Background 
JASAL is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that reaches both scholarly and public readerships. To date, JASAL has published two or more issues each year, one drawn from the ASAL Annual July Conference and edited by the conveners, and the other either a general or special issue.  

Expectations 
Supported by the ASAL Executive, a diverse and experienced Advisory Board and the current editorial team, the JASAL General Editor/s are tasked with field-defining opportunities and the fostering of collegiate relationships including with the convenors of the Annual Conference and the Triennial Literary Studies Convention.  

The General Editor/s will have primary editorial responsibility for JASAL and its publishing program, including the commissioning of special issues. It is expected that the General Editor/s will hold the post for a term of 3 years.
